During the global lockdown amid the Covid pandemic, we extended our support to at least a dozen small businesses, IT development teams, and business consultants facing challenges due to staff unavailability. In one noteworthy case, a business analyst from Atlanta, USA, working for a large financial sector business faced a setback when his ASP.net developer teammates contracted Covid. Hindered by various constraints, including a locked laptop and screen sharing restrictions due to corporate security policies, we stepped in to help overcome these obstacles, ensuring project continuity during a critical time and helped the person to complete their team’s delivery goals on time.

We deployed an innovative approach to assist a client during a critical project deadline. Using a mobile phone to share the laptop screen, we identified and rectified errors in the code. Employing step-by-step debugging and troubleshooting over WhatsApp calls, we guided the client through the resolution process, enabling them to complete the project module within a tight 3-day timeframe, coinciding with the festive period of Christmas in 2020.

In another scenario, a client in Malaysia faced a significant challenge when their ASP.NET software's source code was lost. The previous developer had implemented a date condition that restricted data entry beyond a certain date, causing complications. Leveraging reverse engineering techniques using dotPeek, we reconstructed the source code from the DLL files, addressed missing components, resolved the date restriction issue, and delivered an updated version of the application within a week. Once the solution was validated, we meticulously created a Visual Studio solution, a database project for DDL and DML scripts, and established a source code repository on GitHub with secure access rights for key stakeholders, ensuring the prevention of data loss in the future.
